No. 1 most important 49ers game: Week 16 vs. Ravens
Finally, the 49ers' Week 16 matchup versus the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football for Christmas Day may be the most important game because of possible playoff implications.
Of course, that's a worrisome scenario but one we need not concern ourselves with until much further into the season. For now, we can just look at this matchup on paper and break down exactly why Baltimore poses problems for San Francisco.
The biggest concern has to begin and end with Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. He's definitely another one of those young and dynamic superstars in the league with extraordinary play-making abilities that cause headaches for a team who has struggled with mobile QBs in the past.
Steve Wilks and Co. will probably get little to no sleep during the week leading up to game time. If he wants the 49ers defense to be recognized as one of the greats, these are the type of games to show up and show out!
As always, the days prior to kickoff are some of the most nerve-wracking times because of all the uncertainty surrounding the team. If health can stay on the Niners' side, along with continuing their ascension to greatness, the Lombardi Trophy won't be too far behind.
