Predicting what games 49ers wear their classic throwback uniforms

The 49ers have the best throwback uniforms in the NFL, and it's not particularly close (we're biased, but so what?).

49ers throwback uniform game No. 1: Week 5 vs. Cowboys

Well, would it be anything else?

In 1994, the 49ers muscled up to advance through their arch nemesis, the Dallas Cowboys, who had defeated the Niners in the NFC Championship game the previous two seasons. Finally, and wearing those red and white jerseys, San Francisco got even by upending Dallas in the penultimate game of the year before pulling off a victory in the Super Bowl over the San Diego Chargers two weeks later.

Now, in recent years, the 49ers have had the luxury of ending the Cowboys in the playoffs, a fact that won't go unnoticed by either team. Considering both squads had high points during the 1990s, having throwbacks for this particular rivalry showdown is too perfect.

And it's only made that much more perfect with the fact both the Niners and Cowboys play on Sunday Night Football in Week 5.

Dallas does have a 1994 throwback white jersey, but it'll be San Francisco's red tops and white pants that'll catch the most attention.
