49ers Defensive Pro Bowlers
The defense might benefit from the popularity contest of the Pro Bowl voting. As a unit, they stand out compared to the others.
However, as individuals, there are just a select few who will make it based on on-field performance and popularity.
Defensive back Charvarius Ward has certainly had himself a season. He leads the NFL in pass breakups with 22. He also has 64 total tackles and four interceptions including one for a touchdown. Ward has covered some of the NFL's best wide receivers, and for the most part, kept them in check.
He's turned out to be a key lockdown DB for San Francisco. If he's able to get some more interceptions next season, there's no doubt he'll be leading the votes in 2025.
Fred Warner is the heart and soul of the San Francisco 49ers. Running into him is like running into a brick wall. He's quick enough to keep up with some of the fastest running backs and wide receivers. He covers the field well and just has a magnet to the ball.
It'll be tough to keep Warner out of the Pro Bowl as he's one of the most liked linebackers in the NFL. His stats might not be top of the leaderboard, but as the captain of one of the best defenses in the league, he deserves to be a Pro Bowler.
The NFL will be announcing who made the Pro Bowl soon. Best of luck to all the 49ers who could receive this tremendous honor.
