The 49ers play a primetime game in Week 7, but it's not going to be on Thursday Night Football. That night is reserved for two teams from the South.

The San Francisco 49ers are one of a handful of teams who actually play two Thursday Night Football games this season.

Already having one Thursday night game under their belts, a Week 3 home victory over the New York Giants, the Niners aren't going to have to worry about the ultra-short week until late November when they visit the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving for that week's installment of Thursday Night Football.

Entering Week 7, San Francisco will play a primetime game, visiting the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.

But, how will the week's slate of games kick off, and which teams are playing Thursday night?

Week 7 Thursday Night Football will feature Jaguars at Saints

It's anything but a traditional rivalry, but Thursday Night Football in Week 7 will have the 4-2 Jacksonville Jaguars visiting the 3-3 New Orleans Saints in prime time.

First place in the AFC South, the hard-luck Jags have suddenly become one of the NFL's better storylines, made possible by head coach Doug Pederson's team turnaround and the maturation of quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

The 49ers actually visit Jacksonville in Week 10, so they may want to tune into the contest to catch some film and game plan a little bit.

How to watch Jaguars vs. Saints on Thursday Night Football

Amazon Prime has exclusive streaming rights to Thursday Night Football, meaning fans who want to watch the game will have to have a subscription to the service.

Fans in the greater Jacksonville and New Orleans areas can tune into their local Fox affiliates for TV coverage, but out-of-market fans will have to stream on Amazon.

NFL+ subscribers can stream a replay of the game after its conclusion.
