5 players you'll want to watch most during 49ers OTAs

No. 5 player to watch during 49ers OTAs: Ronnie Bell
It's easy to get excited about rookies during OTAs. Generally speaking, it's not until at least training camp when tempered expectations begin to show up and hit hard, suggesting some players have virtually no chance of hanging around and making the 53-man roster.
In light of that, one of the Niners' seventh-round picks from this year's draft, former Michigan wide receiver Ronnie Bell, could actually make a dent at the back end of the depth chart.
Bell was impressive during rookie minicamp, and don't let the fact he was a Round 7 selection fool you. Had he been drafted in the fourth or fifth round, few would have called it a reach.
There isn't any challenging top wideouts like Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, no. Even Jauan Jennings and Ray-Ray McCloud are likely out of reach.
However, for the fifth or sixth receiver on the depth chart, Bell is fully in play if he winds up looking the part during OTAs.
