No. 4 player to watch during 49ers OTAs: Kalia Davis

San Francisco didn't have too many roster holes to address during the offseason, but one of the still-remaining concerns the team has is the interior of the defensive line.

Yes, the 49ers' big-ticket free-agent acquisition of Javon Hargrave is supposed to address this, and he'll join a cast of returnees like Arik Armstead and Javon Kinlaw.

Behind them, though, the depth is awfully thin.

That said, second-year pro Kalia Davis is a name to watch here after the Niners drafted him a year ago and then redshirted him in the wake of a collegiate ACL tear.

Yes, San Francisco fans generally have bad memories of using draft picks on players coming off such injuries, but at least Davis was a day-three pick and no higher.

If Davis looks solid enough, perhaps the 49ers' depth questions here aren't as bad.
