3 players 49ers could attempt to trade by NFL deadline (but probably won't)

49ers tradable player No. 2: TE Ross Dwelley
As is the case with Christian McCaffrey, having a serviceable backup to All-Pro tight end George Kittle is almost mandatory, considering Kittle also has an extensive injury history and is approaching the second half of his otherwise illustrious career.
In previous years, backup tight end Ross Dwelley has held that role. However, over the last two seasons, he has seen his role reduced in favor of Charlie Woerner but still managed to find himself re-signed by the 49ers on a year-to-year basis.

On the cheap, Dwelley is versatile if not overly dominant in any one particular area. That said, for a team needing a decent No. 2 tight end with some pass-catching prowess, Dwelley could be made available for a late day-three draft pick.
Making such a move would also free up the depth chart for one of the Niners' rookie tight ends, Brayden Willis, to see some more field time.
