Plan on these 2nd-year 49ers players to break out big in 2023

No. 2: 49ers cornerback Samuel Womack
Remember then-rookie cornerback Samuel Womack's preseason debut against the Green Bay Packers?
Well, a multi-interception game ended up earning some respect from Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill
Womack eventually fell out of favor into the regular season, though, and the 49ers elected to insert versatile defensive back Jimmie Ward into the nickel cornerback role, while allowing another veteran, Tashaun Gipson, to start at free safety.
Ward is gone now, off to the Houston Texans, yet the Niners inked former Atlanta Falcons corner Isaiah Oliver to start at nickel.
Let's predict and anticipate that Womack pushes Oliver for playing time this year and potentially emerges as the better option by at least the halfway point.
Young defensive backs often take a couple of years to find their footing at the NFL level, and one could easily view Womack as having that kind of trajectory.
