Numbers don't lie: 49ers are mirroring the dreadful 2020 season
These numbers and similarities may indicate a troubling season ahead for the 49ers.

No 80-plus-yard rusher during Week 3
The 49ers have boasted elite running backs. Though, their current one, McCaffrey is shelfed with a calf injury and hasn't taken the field since Super Bowl LVIII.
Not one running back for San Francisco in Week 3 against the New York Giants back in 2020 rushed for more than 40 yards. In Week 3 against the Rams this year, running back Jordan Mason was held to just 77 yards rushing after cracking the century mark in each of his two previous games.
If you think this all-mere coincidence, look at 2018. The 49ers went just 4-12 and missed the playoffs then, too.
In the first three weeks, the Niners also lost at the Minnesota Vikings by a one-possession score, again.
