The San Francisco 49ers took care of business on Thursday night in Seattle, something they haven't done a lot of since the Seahawks moved from the AFC to the NFC West for the 2002 season.

As always, the Niner Noise Podcast is here to discuss the ins and outs of the 49ers' victory in the Pacific Northwest against those pesky (and poorly dressed) Seahawks.

Your hosts, site contributors Robert Morrison and Akshaj Dwivedula, got into a number of varied topics driven by the outcome of the game.

Those topics include Christian McCaffrey setting yet another record, this time the franchise mark for rushing touchdowns in a single season, and whether or not the running back can eclipse Jerry Rice's franchise record for total touchdowns in a season before the year is out.

They also discuss the loss of safety George Odum to a torn biceps injury and how that might impact the defensive back depth and the quality of the special teams for the remainder of the year.

And they guys talk about whether there's any way the 49ers can bring EDGE rusher Chase Young back next season with wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk also up for a contract extension next offseason.

As for the game itself, there was a lot to like about the performance, and so the "Things We Liked" segment covers McCaffrey's excellent showing in Seattle, wideout Deebo Samuel's continued dominance of the Seahawks, and whether this was the best performance from the 49ers' defense so far this season.

But as this wasn't a perfect showing from the 49ers, your hosts also get into the struggle for consistency that seems to have been hovering over this team all season and whether they can overcome it when they need do.

Check out the Niner Noise Podcast for these topics and more wherever you get your podcasts or via the show's RedCircle site.
