After a brief hiatus, the Niner Noise Podcast returns to get you ready for the 49ers' 2023 training camp, which began on July 18th with the arrival of rookies and will really kick into high gear when the veterans report on July 25.

Your hosts, Robert Morrison and Akshaj Dwivedula, cover a number of topics that are important to keep in mind as camp gets started, although they mostly ignored the quarterback situation that is at the forefront of every Niners fan's mind in favor of other topics.

First, they get into rookie cornerback Darrell Luter being added to the PUP list to start training camp and the impact it could have on the fifth-round pick's ability to make the roster. Luter is a player who impressed during rookie minicamps and was thought to be in the mix to make the roster at cornerback alongside guys like Charvarious Ward, Deommodore Lenoir, and Isaiah Oliver, but the injury, depending on how long it keeps him out of commission, could put a damper on that.

Robert and Akshaj also break down the latest on EDGE Nick Bosa's contract situation and how they expect the negotiations to work out. They compare it to the recent slew of offseason contract extension talks for players such as tight end George Kittle and linebacker Fred Warner and discuss how it probably will be much different from any of the experiences that fans have seen in recent years.

Finally, they look at a few of the key training camp battles to keep an eye on as practices truly begin in earnest on July 26. They involve positions all over the field and include rookies who could make a splash and veterans who could be on the bubble if that happens.

The Niner Noise Podcast can be found wherever you get your podcasts or you can listen on the pod's RedCircle page. Check it out and be sure to share it with all your fellow 49ers fans!
