49ers Week 2 OTA takeaway No. 3: Ronnie Bell comes back to earth
During rookie minicamp and over the first week of OTAs, former Michigan wide receiver Ronnie Bell appeared to be the hottest get from San Francisco's 2023 NFL Draft class.
At least on Wednesday, the seventh-round draft choice wasn't quite as electric and was the victim of a couple of dropped passes, according to The Athletic's David Lombardi:
Adding to this: Quite a few drops at 49ers OTAs today. They let the ball hit the ground a few times — Ronnie Bell twice, Chris Conley once, to name some of the instances.

Deommodore Lenoir, who's now wearing #2, was all over Bell on one of the drops
The back end of the 49ers' wide receiver depth chart is still somewhat fluid, even if there are only a couple of spots up for grabs.
Bell is very much in the mix, but performances like this one won't help his chances much.
