Which jerseys are 49ers wearing in Week 6 vs. Browns?

The 49ers may be on the road for Week 6 against the Browns, but the Niners' jersey choice may surprise you.

In Week 2, the San Francisco 49ers essentially turned their "road" matchup against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFI Stadium into a home game. The crowd had to be close to 75 percent in favor of the red and gold, not the blue and yellow.

Interestingly enough, LA conceded its home-field advantage in a way by donning its road white uniforms, thereby allowing the Niners to wear their red jerseys, which are usually reserved for home games.

The home team for any matchup gets to pick which jersey it'll wear, and it's not automatic that teams have to wear home jerseys for home games. Case in point, the Dallas Cowboys almost always wear their road whites when playing at AT&T Stadium. They've done so for years.

But San Francisco's next opponent, the Cleveland Browns, will be on the docket this week for wearing road whites for home games.

Maybe the 49ers have changed that, too.

The undefeated Niners take on the 2-2 Browns in Cleveland for Week 6, the game being played at Cleveland Browns Stadium.

Normally, it'd be expected for the Browns to wear their home brown uniforms, but the latest news from San Francisco's Facebook page revealed that the 49ers' home reds are going to be the jersey of choice on Sunday.

The weather isn't expected to be overly hot, so wearing whites at home shouldn't give much of an advantage.

Perhaps the Browns are anticipating a high number of Niners fans in the stands, so they're treating this like a road game. Or, just maybe, a fortune teller told head coach Kevin Stefanski that his team would win if it wore whites instead of browns.

Your guess is as good as ours.

Anyway, San Francisco will be wearing home red jerseys for an away game against the Browns, which will kick off on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 1 p.m. ET from Cleveland.
