No. 2: 49ers just want some respect, Santa

The 49ers have a team-first mindset. It’s been working for them this whole year, and even since Shanahan and Lynch arrived. They know the end goal is to bring the sixth Lombardi Trophy to the Bay Area.

But they also understand just how good they are and how they’re not taken seriously in the media.

Purdy’s having himself a season for the ages, yet isn’t on everyone’s MVP list. They say he’s being “carried." Since the 49ers have had this same core since 2019, it's a bit shocking to hear a 262nd overall draft pick is being carried. It seems this squad was missing the quarterback.

As the NFL witnessed in the NFC Championship game, the Niners couldn't win with just anybody behind center. Purdy was the clear answer.

There are plenty of other examples of the Niners being disrespected. Heck, we can even go back to a few weeks ago when the Eagles and 49ers met. Jalen Carter of the Eagles was throwing the offensive line under the bus.

So, Santa, if you could, just add a little respect to these 49ers. They've earned it.
