For those who aren't aware or maybe need a refresher, Hogwarts houses are from the Harry Potter books and movies. Gryffindors are thought of as brave and courageous, Slytherins are known to be cunning and ambitious, Ravenclaws are known to be clever and smart, and Hufflepuffs are loyal, hardworking, and kind. Let's see how accurate Kittle was acting as the Sorting Hat for his teammates and coach.

First off, Kittle says that coach Kyle Shanahan would be a Ravenclaw. This checks out because Shanahan is thought of as one of the brightest offensive minds in the NFL. He is constantly drawing up new plays and trying to outsmart opposing defenses. He will need to do that to the best of his abilities this week going up against two great coaches in Andy Reid and defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Next, Kittle gets a little controversial and places running back Christian McCaffrey in Slytherin. While Slytherins are typically thought of as being evil or the bad guys in Harry Potter, it actually makes sense when you consider the fact that McCaffrey is one of the most cunning runners in the game. He can also snake and slither in between defenders on his way to the end zone so it is not too much of a stretch.

Kittle then notices one of his teammates, fellow tight end Ross Dwelley, walking by and asks him what house Nick Bosa would be in. Dwelley seems to say Gryffindor which Kittle agrees with. Bosa is definitely brave and is a leader on the team as proven by the speeches he gives to the team prior to every game.

Then, Kittle seemingly takes a little shot at his quarterback Brock Purdy by placing him in Hufflepuff with a slight, knowing chuckle. Hufflepuffs are typically thought of as being bland or boring, but we know Purdy does not need to be flashy to be one of the leaders on the team. He is humble, loyal, hardworking, and kind which matches the traits of a Hufflepuff.

Finally, Kittle puts himself in Gryffindor as well. This makes sense as his optimism and good cheer make him great comic relief for his teammates, and he is also a great leader. He is probably most similar to Gryffindors Fred and George Weasley, the two red-headed twins who cause mischief and chaos but do it all in a hilarious manner. Kittle also sort of looks like a lion with his beard and long hair.

In all, it seems like Kittle did a pretty stellar job placing his coach and teammates into their respective Hogwarts houses. Kittle must love getting to answer light-hearted questions like this so he can showcase his incredible personality and good humor.

To put things in Quidditch terms, let's hope the 49ers can band together and throw the Quaffle through the hoop and maybe even catch the Golden Snitch on their way to winning the Quidditch Cup this Sunday against the Chiefs.
