This 2-game stretch will be the toughest of the year for 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers' schedule for 2024 was released, and there are plenty of tough opponents.
However, one two game stretch on the road later in the season really stands out as a brutal stretch for the team.
It could make or break their season.
Weeks 12 and 13 will be the toughest of the year for the 49ers
There are a few tough stretches for the Niners this upcoming season. Back-to-back games against the Kansas City Chiefs and then the Dallas Cowboys will not be easy.
However, both of those games will be at home. The Niners face a much rougher road stretch later on.
In Weeks 12 and 13, the Niners will play on the road against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 24, and then a week later on Sunday night, they play another away game versus the Buffalo Bills.
That is an absolutely brutal back-to-back stretch.
These would be tough games even if the Packers and Bills were just average teams, but they are both above-average teams. Last season, the Packers finished as one of the hottest teams in football and gave the Niners a stiff challenge in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs. The Bills have one of the best quarterbacks in football in Josh Allen, and they have been one of the best teams in the AFC for several years.
It is going to be rough.
This does not even factor in quarterback Brock Purdy's struggles in poor-weather games. He has struggled in games the Niners have played in rainy or inclement weather. There is a very real possibility of poor weather in both of those games, which could become an issue.
There are no easy wins in the NFL, so the Niners cannot complain or be negative about this tough draw. They know that they are a good team capable of beating any other in the NFL, so they will just have to play up to their level even if they got a tough draw due to the schedule.
