No. 2: Rams sign CB Darious Williams

Veteran cornerback Darious Williams already had a lengthy tenure with Los Angeles, one that stemmed from 2018 through 2021.

After a two-year tenure with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Williams is back as LA's primary nickel cornerback after signing a three-year deal worth up to $30 million, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Of his 10 career interceptions, only one has come against the 49ers, but his familiarity with the division and against head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense has to be a concern, particularly after Williams netted four interceptions last season for the second time in his career.

Paired with Tre'Davious White, the addition of Williams certainly rounds out the Rams' defensive backfield, and one might figure the Niners will have significantly more challenges with this unit than they did last season.
