With NFL free agency more than underway in 2024, a bevy of signings have already taken place.

Some have been amazing pickups for squads, while others?

Well....

Sticking within the NFC West, let's take a look at some transactions that should have the San Francisco 49ers and their fans laughing out loud.

No. 1: A 'Cardinal' sin out in Arizona

Perhaps the Arizona Cardinals overpaid their new offensive tackle, Jonah Williams.

He signed a two-year deal for $30 million. To pay $15 million a season for a mid-tier player on the offensive line seems odd, especially considering .

The Cardinals missed the playoffs last year, and this move hardly throws them back into the discussion to qualify for the postseason. Williams played (and started) in 59 games over the last four seasons for the Bengals, only missing significant time in 2019 (full season) and 2020.

That money could have been used to put more weapons around quarterback Kyler Murray or to bolster up a defense. Arizona's defense only collected 11 interceptions in 2023 and allowed 32 passing touchdowns as well as 19 rushing scores.

Sure, the Cardinals had many holes as they approached the offseason. But that's why this deal is making many wonder and question if the signing was worth it.
