4 former 49ers wide receivers who will free agents (and 2 who may return)

There are several former 49ers wide receivers who will be available in free agency, and a few of them may find their way back to the Niners in 2024.

Former 49ers wide receivers available in free agency: Marquise Goodwin

49ers fans man remember speedy wide receiver Marquise Goodwin when he played for the team from 2017 through 2019. He went from having a sizable role and being one of the team's top receivers in 2017 to having a very diminished role by the time he left.

He has bounced around a bit the last few seasons, having a decent year for the Seattle Seahawks in 2022, recording nearly 400 receiving yards and four touchdown. Last season with the Cleveland Browns was not as great, though, with Goodwin only having four catches for 67 yards.

A reunion with the 49ers can be pretty safely ruled out, especially with the receiver being 33 years old. A team could take a chance on him as an affordable, speedy deep threat, but it seems unlikely that his market will be super-hot.

These are four former 49ers wide receivers available in free agency. I would say a reunion makes sense for Trent Taylor, given the fact that he can also return punts, and for Kendrick Bourne, since he is probably the most talented of the bunch.

We will have to wait until free agency to see if any of these receivers wind up playing in San Francisco yet again.
