There are a number of former San Francisco 49ers who are going to be available in free agency.

Several of these former Niners are wide receivers and were running routes in San Francisco not too long ago.

This article will take a look at four former 49ers wide receivers who will be available in free agency.

Some of them may even make sense to bring back next season.

The wide receiver position is an interesting one for the 49ers as they embark on this offseason. Trade rumors have swirled around both of their star wideouts, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. I

n reality, these rumors are probably overblown for both of them. Deebo is a spiritual and emotional leader, and the team has made clear that it wants to extend Aiyuk.

Let's assume that both will be back next season. After them, the wide receiver situation becomes less clear. Jauan Jennings, Chris Conley, and Ray-Ray McCloud are all going to be free agents this offseason. John Lynch has expressed an interest in bringing back Jennings, but that is not a guarantee.

Ronnie Bell and Danny Gray will be back next season, presumably, but Bell had some rookie mistakes last season and Gray only has one catch for 10 yards in his career.

That leaves quite a bit of uncertainty at the position.

The Niners could address this need in the draft where there are a good number of wide receiver options, but young wideouts typically have a hard time gaining the trust of Kyle Shanahan.

That is why it could make a lot of sense to bring in a former Niner who has familarity with the offense that the 49ers run.

The following four former 49ers wide receivers fit that bill.
