Perhaps there's a new public enemy No. 1 in town for 49ers fans, who don't particularly care for Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.

For years, if one was to ask a San Francisco 49ers fan which head coach was hated the most by the Faithful, the answer would be an easy one.

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.

Forget the fact that Carroll is from the Bay Area and actually grew up a Niners fan (this is true). The gum-chewing, the persona and the fact he coaches the Hawks, arguably San Francisco's biggest rival this century, put him in that spot.

Well, perhaps until recently.

49ers fans might actually have another head coach who has taken over on the list of "most hated," and it's someone who's clear across the country and coaching a team not even within the Niners' own division, the NFC West.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni.

49ers fans aren't alone in loving to hate Nick Sirianni

San Francisco has plenty of reasons to feel angry toward Sirianni and the Eagles after what went down last January in the NFC Championship game.

Plus, the 42-year-old Sirianni is now creating his own reputation among many a fanbase, particularly that of the Kansas City Chiefs, for being, well... corny.

After one particular incident in which Sirianni was barking at Chiefs fans in the wake of Philly defeating KC on Monday Night Football, Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr. used the word, "corny," to describe Sirianni in an NSFW post.

Maybe Niners and Chiefs fans have something in common now. Weird.

Either way, San Francisco will have a chance for some vengeance in Week 13 during what'll be a high-profile rematch of the NFC Championship game last season, as the 8-3 49ers visit Sirianni and the 10-1 Eagles in a game that could ultimately have serious playoff implications.

There'll probably be plenty of Sirianni talk, too, and perhaps he'll leave Week 13 as the No. 1 head coach whom Niners fans love to hate.

Sorry, Pete Carroll.
