A two-way player is a potential asset for any team. But one who plays both wide receiver and cornerback? The 49ers would be foolish to overlook this prospect.

Travis Hunter, the 6-foot-1 junior has played big since transferring from Jackson State two years ago. In his lone season for the Tigers, he grabbed four touchdowns but also had his only pick-six to date.

During his first season for the Colorado Buffaloes, Hunter snagged three more interceptions and recorded 33 total tackles.

He is on pace to break both of those marks this season.

Hunter is a physically gifted player who would make a wonderful addition to a team with championship aspirations. His current coach and former 49er, Deion Sanders, can attest to San Francisco being a strong place to play.

It was there where Sanders won a Super Bowl and Defensive Player of the Year in 1994.

That's the type of caliber Hunter could bring if selected by the Niners in one of the earlier rounds of the draft.
