No. 2: Dalton Schoen, wide receiver

It’s no secret, the Niners are prone to injuries. So it doesn’t hurt to see who else is out there to potentially fill a roster spot and make a name for themselves.

In 2022, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers boasted one of the top receiving groups of the year. This included wide receiver Dalton Schoen. The 26 year old from Overland Park, Kansas, lead the CFL in almost every category.

Schoen lead the league with 1,441 yards on 70 receptions, which averaged out to 20.6 yards per catch. He also lead the CFL with 16 touchdowns and 41 second-down catches which lead to first downs.

He’s a big, physical player with lots of upside. He stands at 6-foot-1, 218 pounds. He’s not afraid of taking or giving a hit, he’s agile, quick and has the ability to snag almost every ball headed his way.

Here are his highlights from the 2022 season:

According to 3DownNation, Schoen tried out for the Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals in the offseason. Luckily for the Blue Bombers, neither team signed him and he’s expected to light up the CFL once again.

This time, it could be a serious audition for the NFL.
