Buccaneers vs. 49ers Key Players to Watch

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rachaad White: After a slow start to the season, the second-year running back is starting to become a factor in the Bucs’ offense. Last week against the Titans, White had 98 total yards and a receiving touchdown on 22 touches. In Tampa Bay’s last four games, the former Arizona State running back has made plays in the passing game, recording 19 receptions (20 targets) for 228 yards and a touchdown. The Bucs will be looking for White to stay hot in the passing game against this physical 49ers’ front seven.

San Francisco 49ers

Brandon Aiyuk: Aiyuk doesn’t have many touchdowns on the season (3), but he always finds a way to make a play and has quickly become the favorite target for Brock Purdy. The 25-year-old receiver is tied for first in receptions (38) with Christian McCaffrey and is first in receiving yards (675). The young wide receiver doesn’t have a touchdown yet at home this season, but he could break that streak on Sunday.

Buccaneers vs. 49ers Prediction and Pick

The only loss the 49ers have had at home was against the Bengals in Week 8 (31-17). In their three wins, San Francisco scored 35.6 points per game and defeated opponents by 23 points a game. They are also 2-0 against the spread when listed as double-digit favorites this season.

As for the Buccaneers, they finally got back into the column last week after dropping a few winnable games against the Texans, Bills, and Falcons. The only time Tampa Bay was an underdog of 10 or more points was against Buffalo in Week 8, where they lost 24-18.

The Buccaneers could keep this game within striking distance as they have the playmakers at the skill positions and a quarterback who has only thrown five interceptions. At the same time, we saw the Niners dismantle a talented Jaguars team last week and blow out Dallas by 32 points earlier this season at Levi’s Stadium. I’ll take the points with the 49ers, who will pull away late on Sunday to capture their fourth win at home.
