Brandon Aiyuk missed the 49ers' Week 3 matchup against the Giants, but the extra time of rest could set him up to be available against the Cardinals this Sunday.

One complaint the San Francisco 49ers don't have is enduring a shortage of offensive weapons for their quarterback, Brock Purdy.

The Niners were without their top wide receiver, Brandon Aiyuk, for Week 3's installment of Thursday Night Football against the visiting New York Giants. And while there were some moments where the primetime showdown seemed like a close game, Purdy and Co. eventually came away with a commanding 30-12 victory.

Aiyuk, who was dealing with a shoulder injury suffered the week before against the Los Angeles Rams, wasn't sorely missed.

However, San Francisco could be shorthanded at wide receiver for its next contest, a Week 4 game against the visiting Arizona Cardinals.

With the 49ers looking to go 4-0 to start the year, can they count on Aiyuk to suit up and help out?

Will 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk play vs. Cardinals on Sunday?

Fellow wide receiver Deebo Samuel (ribs) is questionable for the game. So, it's not hard to see why Purdy would be very much interested in Aiyuk's availability after a one-game absence and the added extra break from having played on Thursday night the week before.

Aiyuk appeared on the Niners' Week 4 injury report and was limited in practice the first two days, but he was a full participant on Friday and had his injury designation (questionable, doubtful, probable) removed on said report.

By all accounts, it appears as if Aiyuk will be playing on Sunday against Arizona.

“He had a real good week," head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters after Friday's practice. "Yeah, he’s good to go, off the injury report. Excited to have him back.”

Unless Shanahan isn't telling the truth, Aiyuk will be out there for San Francisco on Sunday.

The 49ers and Cardinals kick off on Oct. 1 at 4:25 p.m. from Levi's Stadium.
