Arizona's defense has been suspect over the first-quarter mark of 2024, meaning Brock Purdy and the Niners can take advantage in this NFC West showdown.

No. 4: Jordan Mason notches 2 rushing touchdowns

Deebo Samuel and Brock Purdy might do a lot of the heavy lifting for San Francisco's offense in Week 5, but one shouldn't count out running back Jordan Mason.

True, Arizona's run defense is actually quite solid this year despite the defensive deficiencies, allowing an average of 4.4 yards per carry, which is right in the middle of the pack across the league.

However, when it comes to red-zone rushing defense, the Cardinals are a bit more suspect.

On the year, Arizona has given up a total of eight rushing touchdowns, which is tied for most in the league along with the Dallas Cowboys.

Assuming Mason continues to fuel that average, look for him to record two more rushing touchdowns in the contest.

The Niners and Cardinals square off on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 4:05 p.m. ET from Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
