Bold 49ers prediction No. 2: Nick Bosa shows he's truly back with 3 sacks and a forced fumble

EDGE Nick Bosa has been by no means awful for San Francisco the first fortnight. He might have no sacks, but he's had nine total pressures, four quarterback hits, and five hurries for his two weeks despite teams scheming to throw quickly to avoid the 49ers' much-vaunted pass rush from decimating the quarterback.

So, in short, he's been playing just fine.

The Giants present an appealing game for him. If the 49ers get to a lead early, and the Giants are forced to throw more, it'll put stress on the G-Men who are potentially without their best lineman in offensive tackle Andrew Thomas, who didn't play in Week 2 and is currently limited in practice with a hamstring injury.

Even if he does play, Thomas can't possibly contain Bosa if he isn't moving properly.

With Bosa playing well and ready to be let loose on a team, a team with an injured left tackle and an offensive line that's overall not been playing very well at all allows him a good chance to get the sack count growing.

Look for Bosa to get going early and often, blowing past the overmatched Giants offensive line and taking down Giants quarterback Daniel Jones with a dominating performance.

Just to put the cherry on the sundae, look for him to hit Jones so hard that the ball goes flying out of his hands as well.

A Thursday night classic performance, let's lock it in.
