Monday night's primetime showdown between the 49ers and Jets will feature some well-known television personalities.

The San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets both open up their 2024 regular-season schedule in prime time with a Monday Night Football contest in Week 1 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

This bout between two Super Bowl hopefuls has plenty of storylines, including Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers squaring off against his boyhood team for the first time not wearing a Green Bay Packers uniform.

New York's head coach, Robert Saleh, served as the Niners' defensive coordinator from 2017 through 2020, and he also brought over a number of former San Francisco players in recent years, too, many of whom will be squaring off against their old team for the first time.

It's going to be a great ending to what's been a fantastic opening week to the 2024 season, and fans across the country will be able to tune into the live ESPN/ABC broadcast.

As is the usual case for Monday Night Football games, Joe Buck will handle play-by-play duties with Troy Aikman providing color commentary.

Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge will be on the sidelines.

According to the folks over at Football Zebras, Carl Cheffers' crew will be officiating Monday night's game between the 49ers and Jets.

Cheffers has been in his position since 2000.
