Takeaway No. 5: No doubting Brock Purdy being the real deal
it might have been fair to wonder whether or not quarterback Brock Purdy was legit after he helped the Niners win five games in a row to close out the 2022 regular season, doing so in impressive fashion after being selected last in the NFL Draft a year ago.
And even in the wake of his playoff run last season, followed by that elbow injury suffered in the NFC Championship game, fans and analysts questioned if Purdy would revert back to the level expected out of a Round 7 draft pick.
Well, he hasn't.

At some point, the chatter about him being a "system quarterback" or "just benefiting" from the extreme talent around him will dissipate. Putting it bluntly, the doubters are quickly running out of arguments.
Purdy is currently leading the NFL in passer rating, too (115.1).
