That aforementioned game against the Seahawks on Thursday night does benefit the Niners in one way, as it'll give them a bit of a mini bye week ahead of what could essentially be a preview of the NFC Championship game this season.

Or a grudge match of last season's NFC Championship game, depending on how one looks at things.

At any rate, the extra rest and preparation should go a long way toward helping beat the Eagles, widely viewed as the No. 1 team to beat within the conference.

Armed with weaponry on both sides of the ball, quarterback Jalen Hurts will look for another MVP-like campaign while Philly's defense managed to enter 2023 ranked as the No. 2 unit in the NFL behind only San Francisco, according to Bleacher Report.

Even with the powerhouse teams up and down the AFC, this bout between an angry 49ers team and the defending conference champs that ousted them a year ago could be the top matchup to watch during the regular season.

And we can't wait.
