There have been a few changes since Niner Noise's last 49ers bubble watch for 2023.

49ers roster bubble watch: Running back

Lock: Kyle Juszczyk, Christian McCaffrey
Strong bubble: Tyrion Davis-Price, Jordan Mason, Elijah Mitchell
Weak bubble: Khalan Laborn*
Long shot: Ronald Awatt*, Jack Colletto*

Like Danny Gray, Tyrion Davis-Price is another second-year pro who is turning things around after a frustratingly difficult rookie year.

Also like Gray, Davis-Price has some serious competition for a roster spot, and it won't be a guarantee to make it even if he continues to impress. That said, the fact fellow second-year pro Jordan Mason has had a bit of a fumbling problem during training camp might be the only break Davis-Price needs to secure a roster spot.

Or third-year rusher Elijah Mitchell suffering yet another injury, and he's injured now, too.

Mitchell is still a vital backup to All-Pro Christian McCaffrey, though, meaning he'll get a roster spot if he's ready to go by Week 1.

Of the two undrafted rookie halfbacks, Khalan Laborn has looked the most impressive. He's a dark horse to make the 53-man roster.
