49ers roster: Who's on the bubble, who isn't after 2 weeks of training camp

There have been a few changes since Niner Noise's last 49ers bubble watch for 2023.

49ers roster bubble watch: Special teams

Lock: Jake Moody*, Taybor Pepper
Strong bubble: Mitch Wishnowsky
Weak bubble: None
Long shot: Zane Gonzalez

There's actually some drama here, as all signs have pointed to rookie kicker Jake Moody impressing aplenty in training camp.

The only hope veteran kicker Zane Gonzalez had of hanging around beyond roster cuts is if Moody, the third-round pick from this year's NFL Draft, completely imploded during camp or suffered some sort of serious injury.

The latter is still in play, yes, but Gonzalez is likely thinking about where he'll be kicking next.

Punter Mitch Wishnowsky is on the strong bubble because he's currently dealing with a back injury and could theoretically end up on an injury list to start the season if he's not healed up in time.
