49ers preseason game today vs. Raiders: Game time, betting odds and how to watch live
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers open up their preseason against the Raiders today, and Niner Noise gives you all the details you'll want to know.
Preseason football is worth getting excited about for roughly the first five to 10 minutes before realizing the games typically turn sloppy once the starters come out (if they're even playing at all), and the second half of these exhibition bouts can be downright painful to watch.
And there's still a month before the regular season actually commences. Ouch.
But we'll watch the preseason regardless, and the San Francisco 49ers begin their 2023 campaign on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders after the two teams held joint practices earlier during the week.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan has already said he plans on resting his starters for the game, including quarterback Brock Purdy, which means quarterbacks Trey Lance and Sam Darnold should get the first and second halves, respectively.
While the game itself won't count, there are plenty of things up for grabs for the players themselves, particularly those hoping to claw out a roster spot or climb the depth chart.
49ers vs. Raiders betting odds, spread and over/under
Betting on preseason games seems a bit silly because the coaches don't care what the final score is, but preseason betting is still a thing, so...
According to the oddsmakers at FanDuel, the Niners are 3.5-point road favorites, and their moneyline is -175, whereas Las Vegas' moneyline is +150.
The over/under for the game is 35.5.
Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
