Some 49ers players on the fringes of the roster didn't aid their chances in the preseason loss to the Raiders.

Second-year lineman Nick Zakelj hardly played his rookie season, appearing in just five games, yet the Niners hope to turn him into a versatile backup who can occupy multiple spots on the offensive line.
If Sunday was any indication, Zakelj might not be cut out for it right now.
Not only did he allow four pressures during the game, but he was also flagged twice for holding calls.
Neither will do his roster chances any service.
