NFC West Power Rankings entering Week 4: 49ers dominating
1. San Francisco 49ers (3-0)
The San Francisco 49ers are unstoppable. It's early, but the Niners have one of the league's most balanced rosters and will take some stopping.
San Francisco's offense is rolling, scoring exactly 30 points in each of its opening three contests. And they can beat you in so many ways.
Christian McCaffrey put up 119 all-purpose yards and a touchdown against the New York Giants. Deebo Samuel added 129 yards and a touchdown. George Kittle made seven catches for 90 yards. This offense can beat you in so many ways, and they didn't even have Brandon Aiyuk available.
Unlike Seattle, San Francisco's defense is also a top-five unit. Only four teams have allowed fewer points than the Niners through three weeks, and they also have the league's third-ranked rushing defense.
San Francisco has won 13 consecutive regular-season contests dating back to last October, and it's hard to see where that outstanding run ends. It gets the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, and Minnesota Vikings over the next four weeks, and the 49ers could win them all convincingly.
It's early in the season, but Kyle Shanahan's team is clearly the best in the NFC West and could quickly pull ahead in the standings.
