Week 3 went pretty well for the San Francisco 49ers. They crushed the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. While they were resting, satisfied with their undefeated start through three weeks, the Los Angeles Rams lost and the Arizona Cardinals dented their chances of landing Caleb Williams.

The Niners were simply too good for the Giants in primetime, cruising to a comfortable 30-12 victory, again showing why they are among the NFC's top teams.

Where do their divisional rivals stand entering Week 4? It's time to update the NFC West power rankings.

4. Arizona Cardinals (1-2)

The Arizona Cardinals can't even tank properly. Their stunning victory over the Dallas Cowboys shows they have fight, but Arizona didn't do itself any favors in the draft order.

Sure, it's a little early to discuss the No. 1 pick in 2024, and the Cardinals deserve credit after they pulled off the upset of the week. Arizona piled up 400 total yards on arguably the league's best defense. Crucially, they played turnover-free football.

A game ball belongs to Matt Prater, who proved he is still an outstanding kicker. He made all four of his attempts, including a 62-yard field goal.

Long-term, this victory may hurt the Cardinals more than it helps them, but fans can take encouragement from the fight their team has shown this season.
