49ers vs. Jaguars game time, location, streaming, odds & more: Everything you need to know
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers are back after the bye week, and they'll face off against a surging Jaguars team that is infinitely better than the last time these to teams met.
The Jacksonville Jaguars aren't a team that usually winds up squaring off against the San Francisco 49ers, as there have been only six bouts between them in the all-time series, with the Niners winning four of those games.
However, San Francisco did travel out to north Florida back in 2021 and upended the Jags 30-10 in what was one more embarrassment for Urban Meyer during his brief but tumultuous stay as Jacksonville's one-and-done head coach.
That was then. This is now, though.
At 6-2, and riding a five-game win streak, the Jaguars are trending in the opposite direction as the struggling 49ers, who have lost three in a row. And never mind the fact the Niners are coming off their bye week and will have both extra rest and preparation.
The Jags also had their bye in Week 9. So, the only difference on that front is San Francisco will have to travel across the country to take on quarterback Trevor Lawrence and a rested Jacksonville team.
