49ers inactives vs. Eagles: Arik Armstead is in, Ray-Ray McCloud is out
By Peter Panacy
The 49ers didn't have a lengthy injury report for Week 13 versus the Eagles, but defensive tackle Arik Armstead was nevertheless ruled questionable.
Earlier during the week, San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Arik Armstead told reporters he would definitely play in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles despite dealing with a foot injury and missing practice for much of the week leading up to the game and being listed as questionable.
Two other Niners players were listed as questionable, too: running back Jordan Mason (hamstring) and wide receiver/return specialist Ray-Ray McCloud (rib).
With Week 13 being about as high-profile a game for both teams, including potential repercussions with regard to seeding in the NFC playoff picture, one would hope San Francisco would be fully healthy.
Close, but not quite.
49ers inactives: Arik Armstead available, but Ray-Ray McCloud ruled OUT
Armstead was true to his word and was listed as active on San Francisco's Week 13 gameday roster versus Philly.
McCloud, however, will be sidelined for the game because of his injury, and he made it onto the list of the 49ers' inactives for Sunday:
- QB Brandon Allen
- WR Ray-Ray McCloud
- LB Jalen Graham
- RB Tyrion Davis-Price
- DE Robert Beal Jr.
- TE Brayden Willis
- OL Ben Bartch

With McCloud inactive, the return duties likely fall to rookie wide receiver Ronnie Bell, who is the No. 2 option for kick and punt returns on the depth chart.
On a side note, Week 13 marks the NFL debut for second-year defensive tackle Kalia Davis, who redshirted his rookie season a year ago and has been inactive for each game in 2023 up to this weekend.
The 49ers and Eagles kick off their Week 13 tilt on Dec. 3 at 4:25 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
