The 49ers listed Fred Warner and George Kittle as questionable for Week 5 against the Cardinals, but both are listed as active.

The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with their fair share of injuries over the first quarter of 2024, and the latest string included putting depth edge rusher Yetur Gross-Matos on injured reserve because of a knee issue.

Additionally, prior to their Week 5 home bout against the 1-3 Arizona Cardinals, the Niners listed tight end George Kittle (ribs) and linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) as questionable for the contest.

Both players left earlier prior to halftime during the Week 4 win over the New England Patriots. While Kittle was able to return, Warner remained out for the second half despite remaining in uniform.

Although both All-Pros were able to partake in practice late in the week, there were concerns they'd be unavailable and inactivated for Sunday's NFC West tilt against the red birds.

49ers inactives vs. Cardinals: Fred Warner, George Kittle will play

Late Saturday night, ESPN's Adam Schefter cited sources saying both Kittle and Warner would be healthy enough to play against Arizona.

With San Francisco's release of its Week 5 inactive list, that's definitely the case. Warner and Kittle will be available.

The 49ers designated the following players as inactive for the game:

  • QB Josh Dobbs
  • OL Ben Bartch
  • WR Jacob Cowing
  • WR Chris Conley
  • LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles
  • CB Darrell Luter Jr.

Conley and Flannigan-Fowles were previously ruled out with injuries, and the latter's absence does create some concern at linebacker, especially if Warner reaggravates the injury.

Hopefully, that won't be the case when the Niners and Cardinals kick off on Oct. 6 at 4:05 p.m. ET from Levi's Stadium.
