Running back Christian McCaffrey coming to the 49ers last season was the best gift anyone could receive. The Carolina Panthers might be inclined to send a lump of coal just based on them being fleeced on the trade. Otherwise, they don't have much ground to stand on.
But let's be real. Every single team the Niners have played this season will be sending him lumps of coal and maybe even some maple syrup-drenched spaghetti noodles like Buddy the Elf makes for breakfast.
Hot take: even as a Canadian, maple syrup doesn't belong on everything.
