49ers focus on offense in our latest 7-round mock NFL Draft
And it's very offensive-centric.

Round 5, Pick No. 176 overall: 49ers select cornerback Tarheeb Still, Maryland
San Francisco needs a cornerback or two, particularly with starters Charvarius Ward and Deommodore Lenoir pegged for free agency in 2025. And while this could be a bigger priority for the 49ers come the draft, the nature of this mock postpones the need until the middle of day three.
That said, Maryland corner Tarheeb Still landing in the Niners' lap at the end of Round 5 would be a blessing.
The 6-foot, 198-pound Still has the versatility to line up either on the boundary or over the slot, and that kind of versatility will do him well in serving as an immediate backup to Ward, Lenoir and Isaac Yiadom.
More of a fit in a zone-style defense, Still flashed some ball-hawking traits last season with five interceptions, and San Francisco would happily welcome that kind of production if he continues that kind of trajectory.
Round 6, Pick No. 181 overall (from Chargers): 49ers select running back Dillon Johnson, Washington
The 49ers would be wise to lessen the load on All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey while also finding healthier options than backups like Elijah Mitchell.
Washington running back Dillon Johnson isn't elusive and wouldn't be a prototypical Kyle Shanahan-type pick who'd fit in a zone-style offense. But Shanahan hasn't leaned toward those kinds of rushers in recent years anyway.
Where Johnson would thrive is in those short-yardage situations, both as a 3rd-and-short ball-carrier and potential safety-valve pass-catcher for Brock Purdy.
