49ers depth chart: Nick Bosa holding out benefits these 3 players the most

The 49ers have plenty of defensive linemen who are on the fringes of the roster, so Nick Bosa holding out means more field time for the rest of these players.

Austin Bryant should get more training camp snaps with Nick Bosa out

The 49ers have something of a history of taking castoff defensive linemen and turning them into relatively good players under the tutelage of defensive line coach Kris Kocurek.

While the Niners may hope one of their 2023 NFL Draft investments, Robert Beal Jr., winds up assuming a big role right away, it could be one of these reclamation projects who benefits the most with Nick Bosa spending time away from training camp.

Such as Austin Bryant,

Bryant, selected in the fourth round by the Detroit Lions in the same draft in which Bosa was taken, has had the talent. But injuries have gotten in the way, and he has been limited to just 33 games over a four-year career, and those have turned into a mere 4.5 sacks.

All of which came in 2021 when he was relatively healthy.

On day one of San Francisco's training camp, Bryant split time with the next player on our list with the first-team unit.
