49ers vs. Broncos: 4 Niners who must perform well in preseason game (or risk being cut)
A few of the 49ers players suiting up on Saturday against the Broncos need an impressive preseason performance.

No. 2: 49ers offensive lineman Nick Zakelj
It's been a rough leadup for second-year pro offensive lineman Nick Zakelj.
During organized team activities and minicamp, San Francisco tried to get the former Fordham lineman to take snaps at center, but he put plenty of balls on the ground and showcased little prowess to suggest he'd be an option there.
Instead, the former tackle has primarily played inside, but his preseason outing against the Raiders was anything but good.
Zakelj surrendered four pressures during the game and was also flagged twice for holding.
Either demerit on his stat sheet would hurt his roster chances, but the combination of both makes things much worse.
He'll want to bounce back nicely against the Broncos, or he'll risk being part of the numbers game.
