A year ago, there were some notions the San Francisco 49ers could aim to unite then free-agent edge rusher Joey Bosa with his younger brother, defensive end Nick Bosa.
Such a reunion never materialized, and the older Bosa ultimately signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bils instead.
With that tenure done, and the Niners now desperately seeking a No. 2 pass-rusher in the wake of Bryce Huff's sudden retirement, the thought of a Bosa-Bosa brotherly pairing in the Bay Area has grown in momentum.
And there's one individual who'd love nothing more than to see it happen.
Nick Bosa's mom fuels conversation about 49ers adding Joey Bosa
Over the weekend, the two brothers' mother, Cheryl Bosa, took to social media and posted an image of Nick Bosa and Joey Bosa, both in San Francisco uniforms:

Of course, the Bosa matron would love nothing more than to see her two boys on the field at the same time again, and it would undeniably be easier to watch the two together rather than having to travel to two separate stadiums on opposite ends of the country, as was the case when Joey was in Buffalo and Nick in Santa Clara.
Yet this isn't the first time Cheryl has campaigned for the 49ers adding the elder brother.
Prior to Joey joining the Bills, Mom Bosa shared a similar image of the two brothers in Niners jerseys.
Perhaps San Francisco didn't feel the need as much a year ago at this time. After all, it was undergoing a major cost-savings initiative that saw much of the roster gutted.
But that hasn't been the case for the early phases of 2026, meaning the likelihood of adding Joey and pairing him with Nick is far more plausible than it was before.
And the brothers' mother would ultimately be happier if it comes true.
