The latest episode of the Niner Noise Podcast has to be one of the most confused in the history of the show.
For one, the San Francisco 49ers won a football game, their third in a row to start the season. The game wasn't exciting on the whole, but the final quarter was a blistering affair that featured an interception, several lead changes, a safety, and game-winning field goal from the Niners.
On the other hand, EDGE Nick Bosa left the game late in the first quarter with a knee injury, and it turned out to be a season-ending ACL tear for San Francisco's star pass-rusher. This certainly brings down the mood from the gritty win, which catapulted the Niners into sole possession of first place in the NFC West through Week 3.
This, of course, impacted the timbre of the podcast, with your hosts, Robert Morrison and Akshaj Dwivedula, not exactly sure if winning the battle of the game was worth the larger impact of Bosa's loss for the remainder of the season.

Still, as the 49ers defensive line did, your podcast hosts soldiered on, after a lenghty discussion about Bosa and how it will affect the Niners defense for the remainder of the season. The concern mostly centered around how well the line has been playing so far this season, especially with the performances of rookies Mykel Williams and Alfred Collins, who have earned early stripes from the coaching staff and fans alike.
Eventually, your hosts shift over to the actual game itself, which featured another strong defensive showing, especially against a player like quarterback Kyler Murray who has often given the 49ers fits over the years, and the offense doing just enough when called upon. This, all despite the passing game actually ranking as one of the NFL's best through three games.
Where your hosts land on what the state of team could look like with Bosa gone for the year, but with an offense that should get healthier and better, as the season goes along, is a dicussion worth tuning into the podcast for.
