The NFL Draft is an exciting event for football fans, as it's a time where your favorite NFL team can improve for the upcoming season.
For fans of the 49ers and listeners to the Niner Noise Podcast, the draft has also come to signify something else: the return of our resident draft guru and Niner fan from Down Under, Jeremy Wohlfart.
Jeremy joins the show, along with your regular (and less-Australian) hosts, Robert Morrison and Akshaj Dwivedula, to break down all things NFL Draft as it pertains to the 49ers and even other topics that proabably won't impact the Niners at all, such as do-it-all prospect and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter.

The bulk of the conversation centers around the first round of the draft, which begins at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 24, and what the 49ers can do with the No. 11 overall selection. Jeremy contends that the draft truly begins with the No. 5 overall pick held by the Jacksonville Jaguars, as the top four -- made up of Miami quarterback Cam Ward, Hunter, Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter, and LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell -- is more or less set in stone in some order.
From there, it's anyone's guess what the next several teams will do in the lead-up to the Niners' pick, making it difficult to ascertain which player San Francisco will opt for, although prospects such as Michigan cornerback Will Johnson, Ole Miss defensive tackle Walter Nolen, and even Texas offensive tackle Kelvin Banks are discussed.
The rest of the conversation looks at day-two and -three players who could fit the 49ers' needs as well as other items related to this weekend's draft.
