It's time again, folks, to log onto your favorite podcast app and take in the latest edition of the Niner Noise Podcast with your hosts, Robert Morrison and Akshaj Dwivedula.

Things have been fairly quiet on the Niners' front lately, especially compared to the breaking news surrounding three contract extensions for star players George Kittle, Brock Purdy, and Fred Warner inside of a few weeks.

This week's episode doesn't have that going for it, but it does feature another impact player being added to coordinator Robert Saleh's defense.

The trade for Bryce Huff was only a few hours old when your hosts took to the airwaves to weigh in the move. The general consensus regarding the move is positive, but you'll need to download the episode and give it a listen to unpack all the details about the trade and why the Robert and Akshaj like the deal for both sides:

But Saleh isn't the only coordinator getting new players. Special teams coordinator Brant Boyer is also making sure his fingerprints are all over his new unit, as the offseason has seen him impact the early days of free agency, the late rounds of the NFL Draft, and now these early summer moves to sure up the roster before training camp begins next month.

In this case, the focus is on the punter swap that signaled the end of Mitch Wishnowky's career as a Niner and the beginning of Thomas Morstead's, along with the addition of Chazz Surratt, a linebacker by trade, but also a guy who has been a key part of special teams units throughout his career.

The last bit of conversation focuses on OTAs and what, if anything, can be gleaned from them, with names like Trent Williams, Jordan Watkins, Jacob Cowing, and others coming up in that discussion.
