Maxx Crosby teased another 49ers rumor with latest social media post

It's pretty clear the edge rusher wants to leave Las Vegas.

One of the San Francisco 49ers' best-case scenarios this offseason would be somehow figuring out how to land Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby to infuse a pass rush that was wholly stagnant in 2025.

Of course, the talk of the Niners making a blockbuster with Vegas for Crosby is nothing new, and he's even teased the idea of a move to the Bay Area before.

And those thoughts have picked up steam in light of his apparent fractured relationship with Las Vegas despite inking a lucrative contract extension last offseason.

With the Raiders entering (another) rebuild phase under new head coach Klint Kubiak, one has to figure if the five-time Pro Bowler is itching to finally play for a contender instead of wasting his career away with a perennial bottom-feeding franchise.

If so, Crosby might have subtly announced his desires.

Crosby might not be the best rap artist, but at least he tried in a recent social media share, courtesy of @TheSFNiners on X:

In the post, Crosby doesn't shy away from talking about the Bay Area, dropping lyrics, "What can I say, the boy get paid, brand new crib in the Bay. We done touched down in the Bay like Steph and Klay."

The reference to buying a house in the Bay Area is one thing, as is mentioning the golden dynasty era of the Golden State Warriors with Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

But, is Crosby officially declaring his desired destination?

Granted, it's not uncommon for disgruntled players to subtly announce preferred destinations when they're at odds with their employing franchises. San Francisco already understands this in light of wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk's previous gestures two offseasons ago involving the Washington Commanders in tandem with his own contract negotiations.

Whether or not Crosby is merely having fun and/or poking back at Vegas amid his own fractured relatioship is anyone's guess.

However, seeing the pass-rusher donning red and gold instead of silver and black would be a welcomed offseason change for the sack-needy 49ers.
