How to listen to 49ers vs. Lions Monday Night Football game on the radio

Listening to Monday night's game between the Niners and Lions might be less painful than actually watching it.

For fans who don't want to watch the 49ers (likely) lose horribly to the Lions, the radio might be a softer way to go.

Week 17's installment of Monday Night Football doesn't wholly mean too much for either the Detroit Lions or San Francisco 49ers.

The playoff-eliminated Niners are essentially playing for pride at this point, while Detroit's regular-season finale against the Minnesota Vikings will determine not only the winner of the NFC North but also the owner of the No. 1 seed.

Yet Lions head coach Dan Campbell already suggested he's not going to rest any of his starters for the primetime showdown, and his team certainly carries some motivation to thump San Francisco after what went down in the NFC Championship game last January.

Considering how poorly the 49ers have played down the stretch this season, watching the live TV broadcast on ESPN or ABC might be a bit too painful for the Faithful.

Listening to Monday night's broadcast on the radio might be the better option.
