Beautiful indeed.

OTAs have begun for the San Francisco 49ers, and some football fans are getting used to the sight of wide receiver Mike Evans in a new uniform after he spent his entire career up to this point with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Star Niners tight end George Kittle had the perfect response to the Bussin’ With The Boys social media account when it posted, “Seeing Mike Evans not in a Bucs uniform is weird.”

Kittle simply replied with, “I think it’s beautiful.”

A lot of 49ers fans would agree with Kittle’s point of view. It definitely is a bit odd to see Evans with a different team, but it is hard not to daydream about what the connection could look like between Evans and quarterback Brock Purdy this season.

We got a little taste of that connection on Wednesday as Purdy completed a pass to Evans. Niners fans will be hoping to see a lot more of that this season.

It’s important to remember Kittle was instrumental in helping lure Evans to San Francisco. Evans himself said that Kittle sold him on the 49ers, so Kittle has to take some pride in his abilities as a salesman, which resulted in his team signing a future Hall of Fame receiver.

If the Niners truly get humming on offense this upcoming season, they could be extremely dangerous. Whenever Kittle returns and is at full strength, the offense will have one of the 10 best receivers in the game, along with arguably the best tight end in football, so the passing attack could be absolutely lethal.

Of course, injuries are a big concern with Evans, and the offense as a whole. Kittle is coming off his Achilles tear, running back Christian McCaffrey is injury-prone, even though he was very durable last season, fellow wideout Ricky Pearsall has struggled to stay on the field, and even Purdy is gaining a bit of a reputation for getting hurt.

Despite all that, head coach Kyle Shanahan recently spoke about how San Francisco needs to create more explosive plays down the field, and it definitely has a chance to do that with Evans in the fold. Plus, having veteran Christian Kirk and rookie wide receive De'Zhaun Stribling means even more weapons to play with.

If the 49ers' weapons can stay healthy, that'll give Shanahan plenty of toys to play with this season.

And that could make for a very beautiful sight indeed, just like Kittle said.
